A once leguas al norte, esta Isla Mujeres, pequena, de dos leguas de largo por media de ancho, tiene bosque de ricas maderas y frutas silvestres y en el centro unas preciadas salinas naturales.

If you mean that it is half a "legua" wide, then por media de ancho is right. But, if you mean that it is half wide of two "leguas" then it should be "la mitad de ancho".

A once leguas al Norte est谩 Isla Mujeres, peque帽a, con dos leguas de largo y casi media de ancho, tiene maderas preciosas y frutas silvestres y en el centro se encuentran valiosas minas naturales de sal.
