What is a good English-Spanish translation website?

I usually use AltaVista Babelfish. But there's a problem with typing the accent marks.

For example:

"Hola, co'mo esta's?" only translated to "Hello, co'mo esta's?"

But without typing the accents,

"Hola, como estas?" translates to "Hello, like these?"

Is there a translation website that automatically puts in the correct Spanish punctuations %26amp; accents?|||Everyone else is right. You can't get an accurate direct translation from a machine, but there are some online dictionaries that help. The best i have ever found is . . . www.wordreference.com It's awesome and I love it!!!! I think many HOPE they work well because they are too lazy to actually put an effort in doing that by themselves or trying to do something they don't have idea of how the outcome could be.

Translations must be done by a human being. Otherwise you'll get results like the one you mention.

Really. Stop your search of that website. It doesn't exist.|||First of all, there *is* no good automatic translation. If you are trying to get a vague idea of what a particular text is about, you can get that from a machine translation, but not much else.

Secondly, no matter what translation Web site you use, you will need to put in the accent marks. If you use Windows, you need the alt-codes, and you can type them in with alt-numeric. You can find the information on the Web of the precise numbers and how to use them. See first URL in sources section below. Or run character map, choose the character, and cut-and-paste. On many Windows computers, it is on the start menu: Start -%26gt; Programs -%26gt; Accessories -%26gt; Systems Tools -%26gt; Character Map. I haven't ever done it on a Mac, but I am including a URL (second one below) that claims to work.|||If you insist on using a machine to translate...you will always have problems. The best English-Spanish translation site would probably be one that uses humans, but most cost money. What Spanish translation of the Bible is comparable to the KJV?

We want to buy a Spanish-speaking friend a Bible, but are not sure which version to buy. What would the Spanish name be for the version I need? I am looking on eBay, and I can read some Spanish, but not very much. Thanks.|||Skepsis (as usual) gave a good answer.

The RV is the "classic" Spanish Protestant bible. The first edition pre-dates the King James Version by several decades.

The "classic" RV - the one used by what we might call "traditional bible" Protestants - is the 1909 version, still widely available because of its popularity.

The "new classic" version - the one used by more modern but still conservative Protestants - is the very popular 1960 version. This, too, is still widely available, and corresponds roughly to the Revised Standard Version in English.

Notice how the date is usually given with the title here at Amazon, and how the editions are roughly equally divided between 1909 and 1960.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i鈥?/a>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reina_Valer鈥?/a>|||The distinguishing characteristic of the King James Version is that it is based on the Textus Receptus. There are 283 differences between the Scrivener text and the Stephanus 1550."

(Anderson, D. E. Quarterly Record Trinitarian Bible Society, no. 547, January to March 1999).

For source material and for equivalent antiquity, the Reina-Valera Version of 1602 is probably the closest match, but there are several revisions of R-V, which differ markedly. However, wordrefernce.com is really good for individual words. IT was recommended by my Spanish teacher. Under each word are forum questions about proper usage of that word or combos that included that word. Once you set up a free account, you can ask other users a question. I think it's great, but it's not a translation service.

Also, if you use the Firefox browser, you can get a free translation add-on that will instantly translate any word into English (and even just give you an English definition for an English word!) that you highlight on a webpage.

Check it out. It should help, but not with translation.

When you watch the spanish translation of the movie what do they do?

I've been wondering this for a long *** time.|||Well, sometimes they leave it like the original, and sometimes they change the Spanish parts for Portuguese or some other language. But sometimes they don't, and they ruin the movie like in the translated version of 'Spanglish' with Adam Sadler, in which the English speaking characters spoke some twisted and ridiculous version of Spanish and the Spanish speaking characters spoke like the original movie (plain Spanish).

Hope it helps! :)

What is the english to european spanish translation of the song Out There form hunchback of notre dame?

The song Out There from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is my favorite and I love it in spanish. Does anyone have the lyrics to the European Spanish version with the english translation?

Thanks in advance|||English:

Frollo:

The world is cruel

The world is wicked

It's I alone whom you can trust in this whole city

I am your only friend

I who keep you, teach you, feed you, dress you

I who look upon you without fear

How can I protect you, boy, unless you

Always stay in here

Away in here

Remember what I taught you, Quasimodo

You are deformed

Quasimodo:

I am deformed

Frollo:

And you are ugly

Quasimodo:

And I am ugly

Frollo:

And these are crimes

For which the world

Shows little pity

You do not comprehend

Quasimodo:

You are my one defender

Frollo:

Out there they'll revile you

As a monster

Quasimodo:

I am a monster

Frollo:

Out there they will hate

And scorn and jeer

Quasimodo:

Only a monster

Frollo:

Why invite their calumny

And consternation?

Stay in here

Be faithful to me

Quasimodo:

I'm faithful

Frollo:

Grateful to me

Quasimodo:

I'm grateful

Frollo:

Do as I say

Obey

And stay

In here

Quasimodo:

I'll stay

In here

Quasimodo:

Safe behind these windows and these parapets of stone

Gazing at the people down below me

All my life I watch them as I hide up here alone

Hungry for the histories they show me

All my life I memorize their faces

Knowing them as they will never know me

All my life I wonder how it feels to pass a day

Not above them

But part of them

And out there

Living in the sun

Give me one day out there

All I ask is one

To hold forever

Out there

Where they all live unaware

What I'd give

What I'd dare

Just to live one day out there

Out there among the millers and the weavers and their wives

Through the roofs and gables I can see them

Ev'ry day they shout and scold and go about their lives

Heedless of the gift it is to be them

If I was in their skin

I'd treasure ev'ry instant

Out there

Strolling by the Seine

Taste a morning out there

Like ordinary men

Who freely walk about there

Just one day and then

I swear I'll be content

With my share

Won't resent

Won't despair

Old and bent

I won't care

I'll have spent

One day

Out there

Siempre he imaginado qu茅 se siente un d铆a pasar

All谩 bajo entre ellos

Afuera vivir con el sol

S贸lo un d铆a fuera

Uno desfrutar, tener por siempre

Fuera tanto tienen sin saber

Cualquier cosa yo dar铆a por afuera un d铆a vivir

All谩 obreros y mujeres pasan y se van

Puedo verlos entre los tejados

Todo el d铆a gritando sus problemas contar谩n

A su buena suerte acostumbrados

Yo, en cambio, nunca olvidar铆a cada instante

Fuera por el r铆o pasar, disfrutar

Afuera, como un ser normal, feliz entre la

Gente, s贸lo un d铆a y jurar

Que nunca olvidar茅 que aunque as铆

Yo nac铆, mas sabr茅

Perdonar y olvidar

Al afuera un d铆a vivir

What is the Spanish translation to the term "Building Commissioning"?

I am an engineer, and speak fluent Spanish, but haven't been able to find a term translation (not word translation) of building commissioning. "Building Commissioning is quality-oriented process for verifying and documenting that facilities, systems and assemblies are designed, installed and operated as the owner intended" If anyone knows, please help me out.

Thanks!|||It would be:

"Puesta en marcha del edificio" or

"Puesta en marcha de la obra"|||I agree with this answer, but to me, 'Puesta en marcha" means start-up commissioning, which is misleading since building commissioning is a process that is involved from pre-design to post-occupancy phases. Any idea what a good term would be that reflects this?

Spanish TRANSLATION?

Please don't use a translator, I've already done that! I dont want a literal translation, I want to know what this would mean in english.

"mamita querida, me voy de tu vida, tu sigue bailando. asi es la vida"|||my dear darling, i麓m leaving your life, you keep on dancing. this is life

or maybe:

my darling, i leave your life, you just keep on dancing. that is how life is.

or something along those lines.

hope it helps!!!|||"Darling little lady, I'm going - out of your life, you keep on dancing. Life's like that."

The Words Used

---------------------------

Mamita - Little Mama, little lady, sweet girl, mother.. it means mother but it's like calling someone "mami" in this sentence.

Querida - Darling, dear, beloved. It comes from the root "querer" which means to want, to love.

Me - I'm

Voy - Going (in the personal possessive form meaning I do this, I am going)

De - Of

Tu - Your

Vida - Life

Tu - You

Sigue - Continue (in the "you" form)

Bailando - Dancing (in the present tense.. from the verb bailar, to dance)

Asi - like this, that way

Es - is

la - the

Vida - Life|||"Pretty lady, I'm going out of your life, you go on dancing, so is life"

I assume this "mamita" does not in this sentence refer to the mother, it can be translated also as "sweet lady", "darling lady" ...

As for asi es la vida, it also means "that's the way it is".

Hope it helps.|||Dear, sweetie pie, I walk out of your life, you go on dancing. That's life

Please note that mamita could be a term of affection between lovers or it could be referred to the mother, in this case mamita = mummy / momma|||Beloved mother, I'm getting out of your life, keep on dancing. That's life.

or

"Beloved lady/babe" instead of beloved mother, assuming "mamita" is being used as an affectionate term for lady.|||mamita can mean 2 things.. 1) mother 2) a pet name for girlfriend, wife, lover.. the woman you love,....

My dear "mother" or "darling", I am out of your life, you keep on dancing. That's life.|||Dear mumy, I'm out of your life, keep dancing, that's life!

Mamita = mum, mumy|||I want you little mama, i'm out of your life, and you keep dancing. This is life.
