The most protected place but is the creek of San Miguel, which is crowed with boats in the months of June to August for the return of the turtles, before the feared hurricanes arrive. To eleven tongues to the north, is Isla Mujeres, small, with two long tongues about half as wide, that have rich woods and wild fruits and in the center are precious natural salt mines.How is my Spanish translation looking?

Great job.
If you mean that it is half a "legua" wide, then por media de ancho is right. But, if you mean that it is half wide of two "leguas" then it should be "la mitad de ancho".
You are welcome.

How is my Spanish translation looking?Your translation is looking pretty good, just don't forget to add the proper accent marks. i.e.: est谩, peque帽o....How is my Spanish translation looking?
lenguas instead of leguas
and bosques ricos de madera
and perfect!!
I'm thinking there's a little misunderstanding here... you want the translation from Spanish to English, do you not?...
Here's your revised text:
The most protected place is the Creek of San Miguel, which is crowded with boats in the months of June to August for the return of the turtles, before the feared hurricanes arrive. Eleven leagues* to the North, is Isla Mujeres (Women Island), small, two leagues long by half a league wide, it has a forest of rich woods and wild fruits and in the center, precious natural salt mines.
Legua = League: unit of distance.
Lengua = Tongue: body part.
