Spanish Translation?

I'm doing a project and I was wondering if this translation is correct:



Drinking and Driving is just as stupid

to

tomando y guiando es tan estupido



Drinking and driving refers to being intoxicated with alcohol while operating a car, and 'is just as stupid' refers to something that just happened - something stupid happened, and drinking and driving is equally as stupid.

No, it's doesn't. In this sentence the English gerunds become Spanish infinitives. So the Spanish sentence would be:



1潞 option: Beber y conducir es tan est煤pido como... + (the previous stupid thing)

2潞 Beber y conducir es igual de est煤pido que + (the previous stupid thing)

3潞 Beber y conducir es igual de est煤pido. (If the previous stupid thing has been just said).
when u refer to driving... u mean driving like a car...not driving someone..so it means that if u drink alcohol and take the keys of ur car and drive..ur making something really dumb

Not quite. Tan in spanish does not stand by itself. You should use muy (very), bastante (very but more so), or demasiado (too).



"Tan estupido como..." would be the equivalent of as stupid as..., you must finish the comparison.



Incidentally, you have the same problem in your English example, you need to have a precedent understood or finish your comparison "just as stupid as........"Spanish Translation?
