What game is that? Anyway, I'm sure some games do get translated, but not every single little thing Americans do will be done by Spanish-speaker. What is that board game or something. Anyway, maybe if you describe what the game is about, a Spanish-speaker may be able to identify that game and its name.

The second and the third sentences are kind of hard to translate, but I think that's pretty close to what you want to say...
I hope it helps!

How do you say (English to Spanish translation)...?
..."darse de baja" in English? It's when a student officially and voluntarily drops out of a school or a course. This would be something like the antonym of "sign up".How do you say (English to Spanish translation)...?
maybe disenroll? (disenrolled)...withdraw from a class? i don't think dropping out of a class or school has a positive connotation, so if it doesn't suit your needs, maybe something like 'i dropped that course,' or i withdrew from that school?
...not sure i can think of anything else...

What is the Spanish translation of "I was a student"?
Is it "Yo fui un/una estudiante" or "Yo estuve un/una estudiante"?
I believe it's fui (the usage of ser) but I am not sure. I am hoping to double check with anyone who knows the Spanish language well.
My main objective is to think of different sentences that I could use with the preterit tense of "ser" (and not using it with "It" - i.e. It was 10 o'clock).
Thank you! What is the Spanish translation of "I was a student"?
"Yo fui estudiante" (the "yo" is optional).
Here is a list of professions in Spanish. They all take "ser". http://quizlet.com/24210/profesiones-en-鈥?/a>
You could try family relationships too. "Soy tu tia", etc.
Eran las diez de la ma帽ana/noche.
it will be " yo fui un estudiante" because "yo era un estudiante" will be i used to be a student
yo estuve un/ una estudiante is completely wrong cos "estuve" ( its used mostly for places) it will be part of the verb "estar" not part of the verb "ser" is like the verb being in english so ur saying i being a student. doesnt make much sense.

What is the correct Spanish translation of the three wise monkey's saying?
I need this to be accurate...not just put in a translator:
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil
Please! be accurate...I need this for a project. What is the correct Spanish translation of the three wise monkey's saying?
Well, "evil" has not a definite translation in spanish.
So, i think it would be:
No veas malvadamente, no escuches maladamente, no hables malvadamente.
It does not sound really good in spanish, but i think it's the correct idea and the most correct translation.
ver, oír y callarWhat is the correct Spanish translation of the three wise monkey's saying?
"See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" literally means = “no ver el mal, no oír el mal y no hablar del mal”.
But the three wise monkeys represented in a wood sculpture have a meaning in japanese that have been translated as "no ve" (mizaru / he doesn't see), "no oye" (kikazaru / he doesnt' hear) and "no habla" (iwazaru / he doesn't speak) in spanish. What is the correct Spanish translation of the three wise monkey's saying?
The above answer is correct.
Their translation literally means
Don't see evil, don't hear evil, don't speak evil.
(In tu tense, so informal second person)
And imean the answer by Harry, the first one isn't correct.
"See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." Is a Western language interpretation of the original three monkeys. The literal translation is:
See not; hear not; speak not: mizaru, kikazaru, iwazaru.
The original carving is in the Toshogu shrine in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan There are many things in life that one sees and hears that are not evil yet should not be spoken of. The Asian ambiguity is perfect for moral interpretation applicable to all facets of Life.

What is the spanish translation of conformity( when people's beliefs or behavior are influenced by others)?
I think the right word is "conformismo". This is the definition given by the dictionary of the Real Academia Espa帽ola:
Conformismo: Pr谩ctica de quien f谩cilmente se adapta a cualquier circunstancia de car谩cter p煤blico o privado.
...which is more or less the definition you gave.

Google Translate says, " Reluctantly does"I need help with english and spanish translation. Can you help with this question?
It means that a person is reluctant or resistive to doing something , as in your example it would be that the lady is reluctant or resistive to cleaning up her apartment. Another Spanish word for reluctant is renuente.
Hope this helpsI need help with english and spanish translation. Can you help with this question?
No it means they are Reluctant/Unwilling to do something
So in THIS case she doesnt want to clean the apartment.

Can Someone Give Me A Love Spanish Translation?
So i fell inlove with my bestfriend, and i was wondering if anyone can give me a saying in spanish that represents falling inlove with your bestfriend with out making it too obvious that i have? Can Someone Give Me A Love Spanish Translation?
He vivido para ver muchas cosas que recordar, pero tu mirada ha borrado de mi mente un mill贸n de recuerdos que no podr铆an llenar un s贸lo segundo sin ti.
It would be something like: I've lived in order to see many things to remember, but your look have erased from my mind a million memories that wouldn't be able to fill a single second without you", but sounds much better in spanish.
Good luck and remember, it's better try and fail than being afraid of trying! Can Someone Give Me A Love Spanish Translation?

English to Spanish translation please... I want to say "I munched on crisps during the journey"?
I know how to say 'during the journey.' Just wanted to put it in context. I don't know how to say "I munched on" and it's not in my dictionary!
Help please (:English to Spanish translation please... I want to say "I munched on crisps during the journey"?
There is not an exact translation for "munched on" (To chew food audibly or with a steady working of the jaws) in Spanish. There are three verbs you can use: "masticar" (rare with crisps) , "mascar" and "comer". "Mascar" is used specially related to chewing gum (chicle):e.g. "Estuve mascando/masticando chicle durante el viaje", but never with crisps ("papas crujientes" or "papas fritas") and rarely with other kind of food. I munched on crisps during the journey: "Me pas茅 el viaje comiendo papas crujientes" (or "papas fritas") " . Also "Estuve comiendo papas crujientes/fritas durante el viaje" -which implies that you were chewing something that was audible. How 2 revalidate a Spanish Univers. diploma (Translation-Interpretation) got in the 80's for teaching in USA?
I would like to teach Spanish in Houston, but my only qualification diplomas are not recognised nowadays in Spain. How can I revalidate them in USA (especially the one in translation-interpretation) in order to work there as a Spanish Teacher or as a notel receptionist for instance? Thanks in advance!!!How 2 revalidate a Spanish Univers. diploma (Translation-Interpretation) got in the 80's for teaching in USA?
Re-validate? A degree doesn't expire. What DOES happen, is that you must stay current with the changes. Having the degree is a start but you also must receive licensure in the US to teach. The requirements for a licensure (Teacher Certification) varies from state to state (50 of them) and not all states reciprocate with other states. This means that a license to teach in Ohio may not be valid to teach in California, especially since California ALSO requires teachers to pass the CBEST exam.
The other factor is that you will need to have your Spanish University Transcript "evaluated" for US equivalent courses. Some of the course work you received credit for in the '80's may not match up and therefore may not be accepted. This means going back to school for a certain number of courses. Also, many universities in the US require you to have a minimum number of courses with them to be given a new Diploma. That could mean retaking courses for up to 30 hours or more, or, about 10 courses (one-third of a four year degree).
You might find that teaching Spanish rather than some other course might get you in a bit quicker, but no guarantees, as with NCLB and many other education laws now, districts are quite strict, with many potential teachers not working at all, or perhaps working as teacher's aides, or as substitute teachers. Best of luck to you.

Spanish Translation - 'One of my five a day'?
I'd like a translation of 'As one of my five a day' in terms of one of my fruit and veg portions. I am unsure whether there is a Spanish equivalent!Spanish Translation - 'One of my five a day'?
Uno de mis cinco al díaSpanish Translation - 'One of my five a day'?
'As one of my five a day' = Como uno de mis cinco al día.
"como" is used here to express the idea of similarity, not as a conjugation of the verb “comer”

What is the spanish translation for the name James?
I'm taking a basic spanish course since my brother and sister said that spanish is the easiest language to learn (it's required in my district to learn a second language), and taking a basic spanish course in 8th grade will help a lot. So...one of my assignments is to find my spanish name to use in class.
Any suggestions as to what "James" would be in spanish? My teacher already told me that it was Diego, but I just want to know if there are any other possibilities.
Also, feel free to suggest your opinions about which language you think (preferably to be based on personal experience) would be most helpful, enjoyalbe, and somewhat easier than other languages. My main language is english and I'm south korean...but I can barely speak it like all amercanized koreans. heh
thanks, and yeaWhat is the spanish translation for the name James?
As far as I know my dear namesake (my name is Diego), James has some translations into Spanish: Diego, Santiago, Jacobo y Jaime.
But believe me, Diego and Santiago sounds better (At least I rather how they sound), the others are likely old fashioned names.
Hope it helps
Good Luck.
I don’t like to post my answer too below of the bulk, so I take my ticket posting first “Editing”, therefore when I get my answer finished I just post it and it appears in the place that I want. This is because English isn’t my natural language so I write it as a ridiculous turtle : )
Good luck.
It is in fact Diego. What is the spanish translation for the name James?
James is Jaime
James = Jaime
Jaime .",
Diego
Santiago
Hamez
The direct translation is James = Jaime.
Jaime is the equivalent of Santiago, as a matter of fact, spanish Bibles uses Santiago (not Jaime) where the english Bibles use James.
Jacobo is also correct, however not used much these days. but then, in english you have Jacob for Jacob or Jacobo.
Iago (not a common name in spanish) seems like another form of Santiago in another european language. German? Russian?
Never heard of Diego = James or Diego = Santiagoliver cleansing
Good luck.

- 鈥淕ood day everybody. My main point today is pollution. Pollution in big cities has become a major problem for the environment during the past couple of years and will be the main cause of global warming in the years to come. We need to act by imposing environmentally friendly ways of life on the population: water tanks, energy efficient lamp bulbs, restriction on car usage and encouragement of use of public transport and bikes. All this will help make daily life better in the big cities. Thankyou.English to Spanish translation - NO ONE LINE TRANSLATORS- native speakers only?

@GrahamH:Good observation, but i think we should help him by referring him to where he could learn Native English if he sure knows its meaning.
Engaging Spanish Translation Provider?
Translation agency or independent translator?
Spanish Translation agencies provide a number advantages, and services that individuals cannot:
Screening of translators: While some Spanish translation companies maintain an in-house team of native Spanish speakers, others create a network of freelance translators who they employ on a per-project basis. What is the best translation dictionary (English - Spanish) for a Smartphone?
I need an English Spanish dictionary for my smartphone. It'd be good to have 'flash cards' and sound.
Also, good to be able to change translation direction without loosing the word I've started entering as I'm always enetering the wrong direction.
Best of all would be verb conjugation but I haven't seen any that do that :-(
I'd really like opinions from people who have actually used them ...What is the best translation dictionary (English - Spanish) for a Smartphone?
I've got an Italian-English dictionary on my Nokia 95 8GB and I'm very happy with it. It's the Oxford University Press Concise Paravia by MSDict. I'm pretty sure there's a Spanish equivalent.
It doesn't have flash cards or sound but it does allow you to change direction while retaining what you have already input. It doesn't do conjudgation but does show unusual verb forms. It's really a very comprehensive dictionary and I find it easy to use and very useful when reading in Italian

No me gusta la carne de cordero, POR ESO com铆 pollo. This sentence is more common, i mean it sounds better than the other one; by the way, the correct form of the sentence you麓ve done is "No me gusta la carne de cordero, as铆 que com铆 pollo" ... do you understand me?...
Hope this helps
instead of tom茅 you could use com铆... is like the past of eat (ate)
and carne de cordero is lamb... the translation of a machine would be onle cordero bacese carde de cordero is meat from lamb. but you cant use only cordero
so yeah... all right but you could change the tom茅 to com铆

Is this english to spanish translation correct?
I am trying to say: happy birthday. I hope that you will have a great day.
so is this right:
feliz cumplea帽os. Espero que tenga un gran dia.Is this english to spanish translation correct?
It depends on whether or not you're on a first-name basis with this person. If this is someone you know well, a friend, or someone younger than you, then add an "s" to the word "tenga" (tengas). Other wise, the way you said it is fine for someone you're being a little formal with as the word 'tenga" goes with the formal form of address.

I am looking for a Spanish translation from a English expression.?
I am looking for a Spanish translation for the expression, " sorry, i was in my own liitle world"
example, a friend is talking to me, but i am thinking about other things and hadn't noticed they were talking to me.I am looking for a Spanish translation from a English expression.?
Lo siento, pero estaba en las nubes
Like saying my head was in the clouds, or I was daydreaming.
You could also say "Lo siento, pero estaba en la luna." I was on the moon, so to speak.
These are expressions that would make sense to someone in Latin America or Mexico.
Hm...I'm bilingual but I don't know any expression that is the literal translation for that.
The literal translation will be "lo siento, estaba en mi propio peque帽o mundo" but it doesn't seem right
I will put it like this "lo siento, estaba en mi propio mundo" i've herad this expression in Spanish and that would be like "sorry, I was in my own world" which i think is the idea of the sentence...
But as I tell you, as in most of the expressions, the literal translation doesn't make much sense in Spanish.I am looking for a Spanish translation from a English expression.?

Perd贸n/perd贸name/lo siento/disculpa/disc煤lpame---
---estaba en las nubes"
---estaba en la luna"
---me colgu茅" (used in Uruguay and Argentina)
---estaba en cualquiera" (also used in Uruguay and Argentina)I am looking for a Spanish translation from a English expression.?
I don't know what you mean with this expression, but this is the translation for it... "Lo siento, yo estaba en mi propio peque帽o mundo" if you explain what you tried to say i may give you an expression in spanish, but this is the translation for ti...
lo siento, estaba colgado
perdon, estaba en las nubes
lo siento, estaba en mi peque帽o mundo is not ok
I'm from Colombia
An equivalent saying in Spanish is "Perdona, se me fue el santo al cielo."
Lo siento estaba en la nubes
What is the literal Spanish translation of Ah! Caramba?
What is the literal Spanish translation of Ah! Caramba! What is the literal Spanish translation of Ah! Caramba?
There is no exact translation of Ay Caramba. It comes from saying a more ruder word, Carajo. It is like saying holycrap instead of holyshit.
The correct way is Ay Caramba not Ah Caramba ;)
Example of Oldie; On " I LOVE LUCY" When Lucy would do some extremely crazy stunt, Ricky would yelp" Ay Caramba.".
There is no literal translation of Caramba; it started off as a euphemism for a much ruder word (Carajo) but is now so
mild (like "Gosh!") that the two words are not even associated with each other mow.
By the way, Spanish-speakers are more likely to say "隆Ay caramba!" than "隆Ah caramba!"; "Ah!" sounds very English! What is the literal Spanish translation of Ah! Caramba?
it's like if one said: oh sh*t, or oh f*ck, of course... it ain't a curse word... though that word ain't used that much in Mexico anymore, cursing words work better, LOL
There's not really a literal translation; it's just an expression of surprise or dismay. Some people even say it in the US.
"Ay! Caramba". Buena suerte
Oh! Golly!
The *literal* translation is "Oh! Wow"
it is like "oh gosh" or "oh crap"
it means like "good gracious" or "oh my gosh"

I need to know good spanish translation services?
There are no rules to successfully choosing a language translation service, so I need take many factors into consideration, like price and quality.I need to know good spanish translation services?
There are many translation services; both agencies and independent translators can be good. You just have to weed out the good from the bad yourself and weigh your options.
Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. I read an article last week about someone paying for a cheap translation service and the material being translated had to do with The American with Disabilities Act and somehow, act got translated wrongly and all throughout the entire document it read "The Naked Americans with Disabilities" among tons of other grammatical errors and numerous other mistranslated words. And this was a government organization which ended up facing legal action over all of this. I will look for it on Google and see if I can find it again and if I do I will edit it into my source.
I would say that translating is one of the places that you shouldn't cut corners if you can help it. Look for people with a good track record. Also, to prevent something from above happening, you should consider hiring a person who's native language is the one that you want it TRANSLATED INTO, not translated from. So say you are translating Spanish into English, you would want a native English speaker to be translating it because he will know what sounds correct in English.

Spanish translation! I need someone to help me figure out a word that is similar to "shady" or "sketchy."?
I don't want it to sound like I'm being rude or bitchy. I know certain things in the spanish language hold a much stronger or more offensive meaning than others and I don't wish to offend this person. I just wish to basically say "You're being shady." He's Peruvian. I know dialects differ slightly too and some words are used in some countries that aren't used in others. So hopefully that helps. All comments are appreciated! :o)Spanish translation! Please help on a Spanish translation?
I'm giving my girlfriend a birthday card in person and want to sign it at the end with the Spanish translation of:
Love,
Sean
We've been dating for a few months and really like each other, but it's too early to say I love you to each other. So what would be an endearing, but safe way to say Love, Sean where it's not too powerful or too informal, and not awkward for her to read it when I'm right next to her?
Thanks so much. Please help on a Spanish translation?

"Te quiero" means I love you deeply.
"Te amo" is simply I love you.
"Con cari帽o" is "with love" or "with affection"Please help on a Spanish translation?
Yes, Con Carino, would be a good way of saying it. Remember to put the tilde over the "n", though.

Could someone check my Spanish translation for me?
I'm trying to say:
I bought you earrings in the market. They are very pretty. Also I bought you a necklace. I am very excited to give them to you.
Would this be right?
Te compro aretes en el mercado. Es muy bonita. Tambien te compro un collar para tu. Estoy muy emocionada por doy a tu.Could someone check my Spanish translation for me?
Te compr茅 aros en el mercado. Est谩n muy bonitos. Tambi茅n te compr茅 un collar. Estoy muy emocionada de dartelos (o regalartelos).
You can also use pendientes instead aros but in Spanish both are masculine (los aros, los pendientes) so you must say: "Est谩n bonitos".
It would be
Te compre aretes en el mercado. son muy bontias. Tambien te compre un collar para ti.Estoy muy emocionada para dartelos.
I sounds like you plugged in the english into an online translator... you obviously don't want to make this obvious to your teachers so think again when you decide to turn for the online translator help. chances are that you will do much better if you attempt to translate it yourself.
hopefully this was of some help.

How much should a person charge for an English to Spanish translation?
It depends on the quality of the translation and the necessity of translation.
If you are good, I've heard between 20 and 30 cents a word.
For critical government docs, you could probably charge even more. How much should a person charge for an English to Spanish translation?
On here, nothing :)
Professionally, it really depends on what it's for. If it's a few sentences, written, probably not very much. A longer document obviously means more money, but topic is important to consider; if it's something instructional (like a manual or how-to), a specialized vocabulary is needed. If it's just a business or personal letter, that sort of vocab is pretty generally known.
Spoken is sort of a tossup I bet, because if it's for a business meeting or a court room, the service is more important and the translator needs to be more fluent and sometimes specialized (vocabulary-wise).
I'm not a pro or anything, so I can't give you real numbers, sorry!

Do you feel like the spanish translation thing will become a bring problem with Americans?
like protests, boycotts, or anyone doing anything about this?Do you feel like the spanish translation thing will become a bring problem with Americans?
Half of phoenix needs an english translation, for about every "used" (stolen) care lot, repair shop, wal mart, restaurant, dollar store and gas station. I am fine w/ a large hispanic population if they were here legally. Problem is more arent than are, and they cater to them more than citizens.
I think it already has, i know people who are a little angry over it. Honestly, i don't mind because as long as there is english translations i am fine. But if you think about, i have been to Mexico and they have english translations for everything too.Do you feel like the spanish translation thing will become a bring problem with Americans?
no i don't think they want to start that mess again it would only strengthen the divide with the very peoples liberals who is on there sideDo you feel like the spanish translation thing will become a bring problem with Americans?
Perhaps, but it doesn't matter. Yanks are always protesting against something
Yesterday, a bunch of comunists and agents of Chavez in Florida tried to protest against Luis Posada Carriles and demand the FBI to put him in the 10 most wanted list, and deport him to Venezuela to be shot there
That is really indignant...but they did it
freedom of speech in any language.
no thats just stupid their is translation for french and chinise too why would it be a problem in spanish

Spanish translation on the difference between the numbers 21 and 31 when written?
Why is 21 so much different in writing than thirty one?
21= veintiuno
31= treinta y uno
Why does the number 21 have an "i" in the middle while 31 has a "y" separating it?
Or is 31 actually written as treintaiuno?Spanish translation on the difference between the numbers 21 and 31 when written?
from 21 to 29 you have to write with the "i" in the middle:
22= veintidos
29= veintinueve
from 31 to 99 you have to write it with "y"
35= treinta y cinco
42= cuarenta y dos
I dont know why, it is just the way it is.
bye
Perhaps because the 20s are still common enough to have merged, like the 10s.
Or because veinte y has two vowel sounds that are close - the a y sounds are easier to distinguish.Spanish translation on the difference between the numbers 21 and 31 when written?
I always thought it was Y also? hmnnn.....Spanish translation on the difference between the numbers 21 and 31 when written?
Because "y" is like saying "and". So, veintiuno is just one word, while treinta y uno is written separately, because is like saying: thirty AND one. This no logic explanation.
I hope helped:)
Veitiuno 21
veintidos 22... etc.
while is: treinta y uno 31
treinta y dos 32... etc.
cuarenta 40
cuarenta y uno 41...
like this.
21= veintiuno
31= treinta y uno
Both ARE correct.
Check out these numbers:
21 veintiuno
22 veintidos
23 veintitres
31 treintaiuno (treinta y uno)
32 treintaidos (treinta y dos)
45 cuarenta y cinco
57 cincuenta y siete
84 ochenta y cuatro
In some you use a contraction, in others you don't.
You can know that with practice and, in some cases, learning the numbers.
You're asking about the reason...
mmmm..
I guess we use them like that because those are the most common number used and are easy to write and to say.
In spanish, nobody says this number like this:
31 = "treinta" "y" "uno" (separately)
We just say "treintaiuno" coz is faster .
[I speak such language]
se veria mal si separamos las palabras con y esa es la unica excepcion treintaiuno se veria mal.
They're both acceptable. One is really a contraction. You could have written veintiuno and veinte y uno also. Or treintiuno.

What you really want is a translation of the whole English lyrics, right?
TE SEGUIRE HASTA LO OSCURO
Amor mio, alg煤n d铆a morir谩s
pero yo estar茅 justo atr谩s
te seguir茅 hasta lo oscuro
No habr谩 luz cegadora ni t煤neles a puertas blancas
nom谩s nuestras manos apret谩ndose
esperando la m谩s m铆nima chispa
Si el cielo y el infierno deciden
que ambos est茅n satisfechos, y que
no hay habitaci贸n libre en la posada
Si no hay nadie a tu lado
cuando se embarque tu alma
entonces te seguir茅 hasta lo oscuro
En la escuela cat贸lica, tan cruel como el reino romano
me lastim贸 los nudillos una monja de h谩bito renegrido
y me call茅 mientras me dijo
"M鈥檋ijo, el miedo es el coraz贸n del amor"
as铆 que nunca regres茅
entonces te seguir茅 a oscuras
entonces te seguir茅 hasta lo oscuro.
Thank you.

entonces te seguir茅 a oscuras
entonces te seguir茅 hasta lo oscuro.
Thank you.

The literal translation would be: "Aqui tu vas", but that would not make sense to a native spanish speaker.
